Wiliwili Birthdate: Iulai 6, 2009 (07/06/09) Wiliwili is a Menehune Keiki Kane (Boy). He is named after the Hawaiian Wiliwili tree which grows on the coral reef. Wiliwili is a great Kapuhi (provider). He sails his wooden Wa’akaukahi (Outrigger Canoe) out on the reef at Punalu’u Black Sands Beach to catch dinner for his Menehune Ohana (family) with his Olona (Net). Wiliwili has great respect for the balance in nature and always only takes what he needs.

Wiliwili wears turquoise cotton shorts with a fish design matching his sail, a shell necklace, and a red crocheted King Kamehameha Helmet with matching shoes. Wiliwili is about 3.5” tall. The body is made out of stretch cotton. The eyes and mouth are embroidered on to his face. His canoe is made out of wood and tied with raffia.

Wiliwili loves to play with his Menehune Kaukinis (cousins), Opihi, Mahimahi, and Nalu at the beach. They swim in the ocean, build castles in the black sand, and play races with the black beach crabs. They always have so much fun! They laugh and play at the beach all day long until it is time to go home and eat dinner. |
