When the Ihe and mallet were finished Kanaka and his Kupua Kane blessed them with a prayer and salt water from the Pacific Ocean. Sometimes Kanaka catches a small Puafa (pig) to feed his Menehune Ohana (family). He never forgets to give thanks and ask for forgiveness to give freedom to the pigfs spirit.

Sewn onto each side are four Ti leaves and a coconut Honu (turtle) to protect Kanaka at all times. Kanaka wears a red crocheted King Kamehameha Helmet and matching shoes. |
His coconut chair is signed and dated. He comes with his story and a certificate of authenticity. |

The coconut for Kanakafs chair was selected from palm trees at Punalufu Black Sands Beach. It is hand carved, sanded, polished, and fit to a custom bamboo base. |
The back of his coconut chair is covered with brown cotton fabric with a fern and Honu (turtle) design matching Kanakafs shorts and pillow. |
Be aware and watchful like Kanaka! Let his Mana (spiritual energy) of strength and courage flow into you. |
Kanaka carries the spiritual power of Hawaii. |
His Kupua Kane (grandfather) helped him to make his wooden Ihe (spear) and coconut mallet. The top of his Ihe is surrounded by Hawaiian Ti leaves for purification and protection. |
