Pu (Conch Shell)Birthdate: Pepeluali 21, 2010 (02/21/10) Pu is a little Menehune Keiki Kane (boy). He is named after the Hawaiian Pu (conch shell). From the long ago times of ancient Hawaii up to this day the conch shell has been used to signal major events. Pu is a Menehune Mofolelo (story teller). He uses his words to weave the story into being. He knows that words and thoughts have a tremendous power to shape reality, changing the past, present, and future.
Pu knows how to tell your story too. He will use his words to weave your dreams into reality.

Pu always carries his conch shell, even when he goes to sleep. The conch shell was his Kukufs (grandfatherfs) gift of Aloha (love) to his Mofopuna Kane (grandson).
Pu is 3.5h tall. He wears red shorts with a turtle and conch shell design, a yellow crocheted King Kamehameha Helmet and matching shoes. His eyes and mouth are intricately embroidered onto his face. A lei made out of small, yellow conch shells is draped around his neck.

The coconut cradle is surrounded with ruffles. It also wears a conch shell lei and has a big conch shell flower on each side. The bedding matches Pufs shorts. |

Pu stands up on a hill in the Kaiholena Mountains blowing his conch shell in the 4 directions announcing to his Menehune Ohana (family) that he is ready to tell another one of his exciting stories to them. As the powerful, beautiful sound of Pufs conch shell echoes through the forest, all the Menehunes come running to the story place in the ferns to hear Pufs new tale.

Holding hands Pu and his Menehune sister Olapa often walk through the forest together. They never tire of admiring the splendor of naturefs beauty. Olapa collects plants and other treasures from the forest. Pu collects the words for his next story. |
